We are currently looking to hire an experienced Applications & Support Analyst to work out of our office in Clifton, NJ.

Position Summary: 

The Applications & Support Analyst will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that Alma Bank capitalizes on the full features, benefits, and efficiencies of it’s FIS Core System & Salesforce platform to meet the needs of various business units. This position will work directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as primary contact for business units, promote adoption of the systems, keep current on new core application releases and AppExchange solutions, and provide training. 

The successful candidate will be progressive and forward thinking and will have at least three (3) year of experience as an applications analyst or administrator of a core banking system, preferably FIS/FISERV and a mid-level understanding of networking and system administration experience.

The position is responsible for administering the core system processes and providing recommendations to provide operational functionality to the core system and increase the institution’s ability to serve our members. The position researches, studies and implements industry standard best practices and ensure regulatory compliance as it pertains to the core processing system. This position reports to the IT Director. 

 Essential Functions and Basic Duties Include:

  • Administer and configure Banking applications & Salesforce and provide production support to users in Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and other business units.
  • Serve as the liaison to business units to collect business requirements; design project plans and ensures the application is meeting end-user needs.
  • Gather, analyze and document functional requirements for new projects/enhancements and document business process flows.
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, data flow improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
  • Provide application support services by working with other groups such as Software Packaging, Business Analysts, Database Analysts, Data storage Analysts and hardware and system software services
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce and Banking application features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Keep users informed about system functionality and enhancements.
  • Customize and validate objects, fields, record types, and page layouts.
  • Configure Salesforce and third-party AppExchange applications.
  • Create, maintain and run Salesforce & Business Intelligent reports and dashboards.
  • Proactively identify and remove system and process obstacles to optimize momentum and effectiveness of application users.
  • Research production issues, respond proactively and resolve user problems as they are reported.
  • Log and track identified system problems through resolution.
  • Maintain the Core Banking applications & Salesforce systems with a keen eye toward user experience, process efficiency, and data integrity.
  • Provide consultation for new hire training and end-user training of new features and processes.
  • Create and manage complex workflow rules, triggers, and data validation rules.
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports through multiple sources and analytics tool.
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the business processes and the information processing requirements of assigned business applications such as FIS IBS Insight, Sales Management, & Vision Content.
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of the application environment, including dependencies, data flows, databases, application security, and how the applications are deployed.
  • Excellent problem-prevention and problem-solving skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and implement solutions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team while using discretion in decision making and sound judgment in problem-solving, possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels

 Required Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required.
  • General understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) concepts.
  • 3+ of experience with one or more of the following areas:
    • FIS/FISERV/JACKHENRY Core Systems
    • Collection systems – related to loans
    • Financial systems – related to loan processing
    • Lending Systems
  • 1 - 3 years of Salesforce Administration or Systems Analyst experience is preferred. Banking and Sales workflow experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with Excel/SQL reporting
  • Ability to influence the architecture and design.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Experience in working with COTS and SaaS solutions
  • Hands-on Experience with Java/J2EE, Restful Webservices, web applications, JSM, transactional databases, NoSQL databases, Salesforce Analytics
  • Experience and exposure to API gateways
  • Prior experience with regulated financial organizations

 Nice to have:

  • Experience implementing solutions using Agile/Kanban/Iterative delivery methodologies
  • Implementation experience with SAAS/PAAS based solutions
  • Experience in utilizing SSDLC
  • 1 - 3 years of Salesforce Administration or Systems Analyst experience is preferred
  • Knowledge in working with Web services and API technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, XSLT).
  • Strong knowledge on securing the web APIs data-integrity/confidentiality
  • Strong Knowledge in working with Core Banking systems (FIS, FISERV, Jack Henry)
